Sqeeze Page – Do you know what a sqeeze page is? If you call yourself an internet marketing entrepreneur, you ought to know what it means. This is because a squeeze page is the basic foundation of all online businesses that make great profits.

Just in case you don’t know what a squeeze page is (for the purpose of beginners who are just getting started in this business), a squeeze page is a simple web page that is specifically designed and created for the SOLE purpose of getting visitors’ contact information in the form of their email.

We ONLY want to get their email (for now). Don’t ask for other information such as their mailing address, phone and mobile number, date of birth, etc.

Why?

Because the more information you require them to provide on your sqeeze page, the less likely they are to conform to your request. When they don’t conform to your request of asking them to provide their personal information, what will they do?

Yup, they’ll simply leave your web page and go to another new site. Congratulations, you’ve just lost another visitor (and potential customer)!

If you really really need to get their mailing address, phone number, and other personal information, you can do so AFTER they have given you their email address. Make sure you get their email first.

After you have their email address on file, you can ask them to provide more information. Even if they don’t conform to your request (of asking for their other information), you still have their email address.

So far we’ve been talking about getting the visitor’s email address. What’s so good about it?

Well, with an email address you are able to follow up with the visitor and offer your products and/or services. Of course, you don’t want to sell all the time because if you do that, you are guaranteed to lose more subscribers than you can gain new ones.

The key is to balance out your email messages. Provide value by giving them tips and tricks in your industry, entertain them with your personal stories (use humor), and sell to them.

Now that you understand the importance of building an email list with a sqeeze page, the next step is to actually create and set up a real squeeze page so that you can start collecting leads and prospects.
