I think you really need to do some testing everyone is different and will react differently to the number and frequency of the emails

True, don't be afraid to email subscribers, but don't just bomb them with junk offers. My favorite are the people who say they are very careful in what they recommend to their list, but they end up sending something every other day...

I feel that in the begining the initial confirmation email and then a follow up after is sufficient to alert someone to something they themselves signed up for. And them maybe a monthly reminder, anything else is excessive.

I really don't mind some regular emails when I sign up for a mailing list, but really some internet marketers abuse this method when they are simply looking for affiliate commisions on junk products. I won't mention any names, but why do I want so much junk email coming into my inbox? The best solution that I've found is to use a free utility called PopTray and I can delete these junk emails before I open my email client.

I think the problem with people not liking the volume of email is overrated. They can simply hit unsubscribe. If your ethical bribe is valuable enough, the good will built up will carry you through - especially if your email sequence is of interest to them. I say send plenty!

There's nothing annoys me more than just signing up for someone's list, then being inundated with almost daily emails.

Don't do this please....I will have much more respect for you and more chance of not pressing the delete key immediately if I know you are giving me something of value with each email.

Just my own opinion for what it's worth!

Rather than one email a day, as a subscriber I'm a lot more comfortable with no more than 2-3 emails a week. Receiving an email everyday from the same Internet marketer can get pretty frustrating.
Nice tips anyway ;-)
