Make Money Online For Beginners

I have said several times on this blog already that the best way to make money online for beginners is through Ads Marketing and Affiliate Marketing.

Ads Marketing – You allocate a certain portion of your website to display advertisements from other people/companies and you get paid in return.

Affiliate Marketing – You promote other people’s products and services and in return you get commissions. The commissions you get can be in the form of pay-per-sale or pay-per-lead.

The other method of making money online, which is through creating and marketing your own products and services (which I call Product Creation), is not suitable for beginners who are just getting started to learn the ropes of making money online. I don’t recommend beginners go this route.

Why?

Because creating your own products is no easy task for beginners, while at the same it’s not as difficult as it seems if you have some kind of previous Internet Marketing experience.

If a beginner were to jump straight in creating his own product without any kind of Internet Marketing knowledge, there is a high chance that he will fail to make even a single red cent.

Heck, even if he tries his hands at Ads or Affiliate Marketing there is already a high chance that he will NOT make it. Let alone creating his own product!

I’m not saying this to discourage any beginner who’s reading this. I just want to paint a more accurate picture in their minds that making money online is very, very hard.

The good news is that once you’ve managed to earn your first elusive $1, the next $10 becomes easier. My FREE report shows you how to earn your first $100 online. If you haven’t had a chance to grab it yet, I recommend that you do so now.

Once you’ve made your first $100, your confidence will grow. You will start believing in yourself – that you possess the ability to earn money online. You will then put in more effort and time because what you did has already proven to bring in results.

As you continue to earn more and more money, your confidence grows even bigger, which will result in you taking yet more action to produce greater results. This is like a cycle of continuous improvement.

The converse, however, is also true.

If you’ve been going around in circles trying to make money online but have never made a single dime, you confidence will get smaller and smaller as time passes by. You start to wonder if everything you’re doing is worth it. You start to question your ability to really and truthfully make money from the Internet.

A few months passed and you still see no results at all. Your confidence shrinks even further and you take even less action.

Eventually you give up and you conclude that making money online is impossible and is only a scam.

Is this story familiar?

It certainly is for me because I’ve spent a total of 11 months before I earn my first money online. June 2006 I first got started in Internet Marketing. May 2007 I received my first paycheck.

Can you imagine the thrill and excitement I felt at that time? I was close to tears LOL! If you’ve already received your first paycheck, I’m sure you can relate to my feelings. That was a moment I can never forget for the rest of my life!

Now, coming back to the topic at hand….

If you’re a beginner reading this, my advice is to start with Ads and Affiliate Marketing first. Beginners Blog Profits shows you how to set up your own WordPress blog step-by-step (I do really mean step-by-step) and generate income through Ads and Affiliate Marketing from your blog.

After you’ve made some money this way, you can then start creating your own products as this is where you can make the most money. Instant Product System shows you how to instantly create your own sizzling, high quality information product in 1 day or less.

To make money online for beginners and intermediate marketers alike, the key is to always take CONSISTENT action every single day.

The next action you need to take is to Replace Your Job with an Internet business (hint: you get both Beginners Blog Profits and Instant Product System for FREE when you click the above link to join my GOLD Coaching).

Add A Blog To Boost Your Online Profits

By now, you should have already realized the importance of having your own website.

There are lots of different ways to create websites. You can create them manually like the good old-fashioned static html sites, or use some kind of CMS (content management system) like Joomla or WordPress.

In this post, I’m going to share with you why you need to have your own website in the form of a blog.

There are 6 reasons why I highly recommend you create your website using a blog platform:

1. Blogs are easy and fast to create

I mean it when I say this.

Blogs are really easy to create. You don’t even have to know HTML or PHP and you can create a blog in a matter of seconds.

I’m not exaggerating. You really can create your own blog super fast and not know a thing about coding or programming (although if you know a little HTML it would really help if you want to edit the layout or theme).

2. You can update your blog easily

With blogs, you can update the content of your blog easily.

You simply need to type what you want to write and then click the “publish” button, and your updated content will appear on your blog instantly.

No more opening up your FTP program just to update the content on your blog.

3. Blogs are easy to maintain

You control your blog from 1 admin control panel.

This control panel is intuitive, so you can guess easily what the different options and buttons are for.

And the best thing is, everything can be done by simply pointing and clicking your mouse. No technical skills required, although it will certainly help.

4. Search engines love blogs

Whenever you make a new blog post, your blog pings the different search engines letting them know that there are fresh content on your blog.

Search engines, especially Google, love fresh content.

If your site is currently only a HTML site, try adding a blog into your site. As Jonathan Leger pointed out, adding a blog to your site can boost your site’s ranking in Google.

5. You can communicate with visitors

With blogs, you have the ability to communicate with your visitors via the blog comments feature. This is Web 2.0!

You make a blog post, your visitors read it, and if they have any questions or feedback they can use the blog comments feature to convey their messages.

In this way, you get to build relationships with your visitors since you can communicate back and forth with them.

After you have successfully built great relationships with your visitors so that they trust you, it will be a lot easier to sell them products and services.

This means more profit for you.

6. Placebo effect

When you regularly update your blog with fresh and beneficial content, people are going to assume that you know what you are talking about since your blog seems (at least in their eyes) to be up-to-date with the latest developments and news related to your field.

When your blog starts to become crowded with people leaving comments on it, your visitors are also going to assume that your blog is popular and they will associate this popularity with authority.

What I mean is that they will see you as an authority in your field.

When you are regarded as the authority in your field, people are going to buy from you!

Money Blogging or Personal Blogging?

If you take a look around the web today, you will find that there are a large number of blogs out there.

The reason why blogs have become so popular is because it is so easy to build and maintain that almost anyone can do it. Yes, even those people without technical background knowledge.

Now these blogs cover a wide variety of different subjects; ranging from blogs about teens who want to network with their friends, blogs about the hottest and latest music, blogs about cars, blogs about politics, entertainment, food, fashion, finance, etc.

The list goes on and on.

Whatever the topic of the blog, it can be categorized into two types of blog: Personal Blogging or Money Blogging.

Personal Blogging means that you are blogging simply  for the fun of it. You blog because you want to share your feelings and opinions, because you want to network with your friends and peers. You don’t expect anything in return other than the good feeling it brings.

Money Blogging, on the hand, is blogging for the sake of making money from your blog. Yeah, you may enjoy what you blog about and you may feel good about it, but the real reason behind why you blog is because of the money it can bring.

Now let us take a look at the nature of these 2 different blogs.

Folks who are involved in Personal Blogging typically use free blog platforms like Blogger.com or WordPress.com. Using these blog platforms virtually doesn’t cost any money as you only need to pay for your ISP (Internet Service Provider) fee and electricity fee for your PC.

People who indulge in Money Blogging usually use blog platforms like WordPress.org This is different from WordPress.com in that it (WordPress.org) requires your own domain and hosting.

There are, however, in some few cases where people are also using free blog platforms for Money Blogging.

So which one are you? Personal or Money Blogging?

Or maybe you haven’t got a blog yet?

There are still people out there who don’t have a clue that blogging can bring in money, real good money.

If only they knew, I bet a lot of them would switch to Money Blogging, don’t you think?

For instance, when I told a friend of mine that one can earn money by blogging, his reactions was: “Yeah right, how exactly will blogging earn me money? Blogging is just for personal stuff you want to share with your friends and family. You enjoy doing for the fun of it. Nothing more.”

See?

My response to him was: “I’m serious, you can really make money from blogging. You just need to blog consistently and bring in visitors to your blog on a consistent basis, and when your blog gets crowded, you can sell advertising space on your blog.”

This is called monetizing your blog.

So if you currently own a blog but have not monetized it yet, why not switch from Personal Blogging to Money Blogging?

You would blog the same way you have always did, the only difference lies in the fact that you are going to sell some space on your blog for advertising purposes.

One of the easiest ways to monetize your blog is through Google Adsense. Every time someone clicks on one of these ads, you are paid.

As simple and straightforward as that!

There are other ways to make money from your blog other than through selling advertising space. I will cover these in later posts.

For now, just keep in mind that you can always switch from Personal Blogging to Money Blogging anytime. Since you have already made the effort and time to write to your blog, why not make some money in the process?

You don’t have to do any additional significant work. You just slap some Google Adsense ads and you are good to go.

And if you don’t have a blog yet, why not?

Go out there NOW (not tomorrow or next week), and start blogging on the topic of your interest!

Creating and maintaining a blog is really simple. All you need to do is just write your content and then click “publish”, and your blog is live and ready to be seen and recognized by the world.

Creating your blog is definitely easier than creating a site using Dreamweaver or Frontpage!

So which one are you? Personal Blogging or Money Blogging?

The Easiest Way To Create Your First Website

Do you have a website of your own yet?

If yes, that’s great.

If you still don’t have a website yet, why not?

It’s really easy nowadays to create your first website with the different content management systems available. Compare that with the past when you need to understand HTML just to create a simple static website and you’ll feel so grateful that you are living in 2008 :)

The easiest and best way is to create your website is through a blog.

Why is this so?

Well, because:

1. Search engines such as Google, Yahoo, and Live love blogs

Blogs are easily indexed by these search engines. The more blog pages that are indexed, the higher the probability your blog will appear in the search engine’s query results.

What this in turn means is, of course, the higher the probability that someone will come across your blog and clicks on it.

2. Very easy to install

You don’t need to have complex programming skills in order to set up a blog, although a little HTML would help in doing some customization to your blog.

Overall, it’s pretty much straightforward with its highly intuitive point-and-click platform.

3. Installs in 2 minutes

Yes,it takes only 2 minutes to install your blog and get it up and running. Can you find something else that will install faster? Don’t think so!

4. Every Internet Marketer has a blog

What about you? Care to join them (and me) to make some real money?

5. Very easy to maintain

With its highly intuitive admin dashboard, managing posts and pages, adding and deleting links, and posting new content become very easy.

Now that you have seen for yourself the advantages and pros of creating your website through a blog, it is now time to choose a blog platform.

There are a number of blog platforms available, such as WordPress.org, Blogger, Drupal, Typepad, and MovableType.

I highly recommend WordPress.org as it gives you a lot more flexibility and options to tweak and customize your blog according to what you want.

If you are just starting out, you probably have little or no money to spend on domain and hosting. If this is you, then you might want to register for a Free domain and get Free hosting as well.

However, if you have some money ($10 per year for domain and $3-$10 per month for hosting) to spare, I highly suggest that you register your own domain that ends with a .com and register for a paid hosting account.

Having your own .com domain name looks much more professional, and having your own paid hosting account is much better than free hosting because they will provide you with support should you have any questions or if anything goes wrong.
