Are You A Desperate Beginner?

how to make money online for beginners

How to make money online for beginners – A lot of people are impatient when they try to make money online. I’ve been saying time and time again that the main reason for this is because of all the get-rich-quick courses out there.

There is actually another reason – most of these people are desperate.

What I mean is that they MUST earn money by next month. If not, they’ll not have enough money to make ends meet. This kind of desperate mindset is going to do more harm than good, because they are always expecting to see results instantly.

If they don’t start seeing results by next week or month, then they become desperate since their money supply is depleting fast.

That’s why my advice to people who want to REALLY build a successful online business and make money online is to have some kind of ongoing income first before you even try to learn the ropes of this industry.

I understand that emotions are sometimes uncontrollable, especially the strong ones. Whatever the case, don’t immediately submit that resignation letter and jump straight into internet marketing.

As inspiring and brave as that may sound, it’s not going to work. If you do that, 99% of the time you’re going to fail to earn any kind of money online.

Why?

Because of the “desperate” factor that we talked about earlier.

People who are desperate let emotions take control of their mind. This is fatal. You should instead, in this case, think logically instead of emotionally.

When you emotional, you want to see results in an instant. Hey you’re excited! You don’t want to accept the fact that it’s going take time and hard work to be successful.

It doesn’t just apply to “making money online”. Any endeavor that you want to be successful in, you need to put in time and real work.

As the saying goes “there is no such thing as a free lunch”.

So How Do You Solve This “Desperate” Problem That A Lot Of Wannabe Internet Marketers Have?

Have an ONGOING EXISTING income in the first place, either by working an offline job, or providing some kind of service that you are good at such as writing content for other marketers. If you are good at designing, then do freelance design work. If you are talented at programming, do freelance programming work.

A good place to find this kind of freelance work is at the Warrior Forum – Warriors For Hire section. You pay $20 to start a thread and advertise your services there. Yes you need to pay a small fee, but it’s very well worth it as you can easily recoup it back since the forum is a VERY busy place with lots of marketers looking to hire freelancers to do tasks for them.

If you don’t have any reputation yet, I recommend giving away 5 to 10 “review copy” of your services. This means you do 5 to 10 tasks for free, and in return you ask them to give you a testimonial if they like your service.

The point is: have an ongoing existing income so that you are not desperate and are patient enough and treat this as a REAL business. Don’t expect to get rich quick, and don’t expect miracles.

Miracles only become a reality when you are strong-willed enough and you work hard to fight for it. They don’t just drop from the sky when all you do is sit around doing nothing and complaining all the time. Stop whining and start doing!

When you have an existing income, you have peace of mind. When you have peace of mind knowing that you are not going to earn a single red cent for the next few months, you won’t panic. When you don’t panic, you can concentrate better on building your online business. And when you can concentrate better, of course the results are also going to better.

And, of course, you are also going to be so much wiser and hence won’t be tricked into buying the next get-rich-quick info and software product (that only sell you DREAMS).

If you have always been desperate to get rich quick, NOW is the time to WAKE UP FROM YOUR DREAM. Find an ongoing source of reliable income and start building your online business NOW! Successful businesses are built one day at a time and based on incremental improvement.

If you are currently working on a day job and are not yet earning money online, keep your day job and start building your business NOW. Only after you start seeing consistent, reliable online income that replaces your current job income should you make the jump to full-time online entrepreneur.

This has been a “preparation” overview of how to make money online for beginners. If you want beginners step-by-step guidance on how to replace your job on the internet, check out my Gold Coaching where you can join for only $1.

The real key to success online is to start a project and follow it through to the end. Earlier in my online career I was shifting from idea to idea almost every month without finishing any of them.

As you can imagine, this strategy was useless for achieving success so stick to one strategy that you know other people have been successful with and follow it through to the end.

    Good Luck!

I like that you mentioned taking action every day and “incremental improvement”. Too many people get sucked in with the “Make $100,000 in 10 minutes from your bathroom” products. It just doesn’t happen that way. It took me 2 years of “dreaming of quick riches” before I realized it takes real work, daily action and dedication to succeed. It can be done, but you have to stick with it.

I agree that a desperate mindset is a major detraction in starting an online business. However, I disagree that being a freelancer is that way to start out.

If you really wanted to be picky about it, couldn’t you just go to Fiverr and post what you’re willing to do for five bucks? There’s a real fast way to make money. Do that one thing 10 times in a day and you’ve got something going now.

No, I believe that the problem lies in laziness and in fantasy. We’re lazy, so we don’t want to do any real work, like making a product or promoting a product.

We live in a fantasy world too, so that when Marketer X tells me I can make $30,000 this month just by clicking a few buttons, I hurriedly hand over my cash to him.

Get real, people. Let’s do our homework. Let’s do some real work. You’re hours will be high at first, but when you start seeing real paychecks come in, then you can pat yourself on the back…

Isn’t going to Fiverr to look for something to do and get paid for 5 bucks considered freelance work too?

This so very true what couple of you have said. To make online business to work, it takes knowledge and action upon that knowledge. In any actity where people are successfull, what is requred is a consisistent action. Not 12 hours one day and then nothing 3 or 4 days. You just need to put hours every day, up until the time that you have mastered the all the aspect of the business and then yes, you can lessen the load of work, if you do not care to get more money and prefer to have more time. But the gurus are creatues using people hopes to, as someone has said here, line the pocket with hope monee. Pretty sad. So, we one need time, effort and constency and in the end all should work.

Hi, I have just started promoting your products and I see looking into the affiliate area that the stats say. 119 raw. Forgive me for being stupid, but I can’t work out what that means.

Sorry, if that is intended for me, I don’t know either. So what products have you started promoting?

    • Welly on November 29, 2010

      Hi Andy

Raw means raw clicks. There are 2 types of clicks — raw clicks and unique clicks.

Raw clicks simply means the total number of clicks you get. For example, if John clicks on your affiliate link twice, and Peter also clicks on your affiliate link twice, that would give a total of 4 raw clicks.

In the same example above, there would, however, only be 2 unique clicks, since there are only 2 unique individuals clicking on your link.

      I hope that makes sense.

Agree and I am in the middle of it. My consultancy job ended last May and being 62 yrs of age, I have no other alternative but to immerse myself in it. And I am desperate, too, as my savings is fast dwindling. But somehow, there has got to be a break in the gloomy clouds that have covered my aspirations for a long, long time now. And yes, these gurus are practically worthless in helping out a newbie make money on line. I think we all have to create our own paths that best suit our characters and inclinations.

I agree that giving up your daytime job in the hope of earning a fortune online within a short period of time is not a wise move to make. I am talking from experience here as this is exactly what I did and within a short period of soon time came to realize that there are no magic bullets to overnight riches online. Yes, there are thousands upon thousands of so-called online gurus that will attempt to con you into buying false dreams from them and line their own pockets, but believe me when I tell you that you may as well chuck your money down the toilet instead.
Making money online is a process that takes time and there are various skills that you need to learn to make the process work and start earning money for you.
These skills do not involve rocket science and anyone
can learn them as long as they are willing to put in the effort. The beauty is that once you have mastered these skills and make your first dollar online it is then just a matter of rinsing and repeating the method that worked to earn you money, and before you know it your online business will be just about running on autopilot.

Stick with it, don’t give up and you will reap the rewards.

    Hi Welly,

I think most marketers that start out on their journey on the Internet world are desperate to reap the rewards straight away.

They have to treat it like a real business and not just some hobby surfing the net and doing a little socialising.

If you are working an offline job wanting to make it online. You will need to keep the two going side by side. How much do you need to earn to become full time? Are you earning 10K, 15K or 20K a year offline.

If this is what you can live off then this is what you need to be earning online before you make the change to a full time online business and not before.

If you do take the plunge before making consistent earnings then as Welly said you will become desperate and chase the dream. It is not easy as so many get rich quick schemes out there try and tell you.

Plant for the future and stick to it.

    Craig
