I do appreciate when a business chooses a minimal design approach, but even then, graphic design is important. Simple doesn’t mean less artistic; in fact, it could take more of an effort to ensure the content doesn’t appear boring.

That’s really the trick, isn’t it…finding someone who can do the design work for you, that you trust enough to be able to convey your message through imagery.

I’m also in the class of not knowing anything about graphics, what works, what’s bad and so on. But I also don’t know or can’t tell when someone else knows what their talking about.

Sure, a designer can show me something that looks fantastic, but how do I know that it will relate to my customers and my market. Perhaps that it would be a significant step up from what I can do my self would be enough.

You make some great points. I was looking over my small collection of sites today and one thing I am definitely missing is the graphics. It’s not my strongest point and I think the sites suffer as a result. I love the look of your WOW minisites page and if that is any indication of the quality of your work then you’ve got yourselves a new customer!

Yep, graphics are very important.
It can really give professional look to a business. Moreover, graphics help to give a visual identity to a company, so it become simpler for the customer to remember it.

Very good point, I have seen products I wanted ot buy but the website looked cheesy or they had the missing image red X ….that does not make a person feel good about buying. i have already made my first $100 on line but im going to subscribe. Id like to know what else i can do Thanks.

Graphics are a very important element in packaging and website design, as you stated. It does take a professional with training in overall design concepts to make a business look legitimate. You can usually spot a spamming site by their over-the-top graphics and star bursts with hoaky messages.
